The inkjet cartridge - We start with only 100% virgin OEM cartridges. (Virgin means it's the first time the cartridge has been remanufactured) Many "low cost" companies will use cartridges that have been remanufactured two, three, maybe even four times. Using these cores greatly reduces their price but, it also sacrificies the print quality. Recycled inkjet cartridges just cannot be remanufactured that many times without significant reduction in the print quality. Inside the inkjet cartridge print head are tiny resistors. These resisitors heat and cool rapidly to "squirt" the ink onto the paper. The resistors, over time will wear out and when this happens, you will see banding in your print out. That is why it is important to buy inkjet cartridges that have only been remanufactured once. You will get your best quality out of a virgin cartridge.

The toner cartridge - Once again, we start with only virgin cartridges. The cartridges are disassembled, cleaned, filled with high quality, matching toner and then reassembled. All of our cartridges have new drums and all new wear parts (wipers, doctor blades, mag rollers, etc.) replaced. And once again, the "low cost" guys have found a way to cut corners by not replacing the drum. Thus, lowering their cost of production. The original drum may not be completely worn out after the toner is gone but, it certainly was not designed or intended to go twice it's expected life. The drum is the most important part of the cartridge. It puts the toner to the paper. If this drum is worn, has scratches or even dents in it, you will see a major reduction in quality. That is why it is important to buy toner cartridges that have new drums.
